Jan's May Faves

If you’re in a certain circle of friends, you’ve been given my blessing to call me “Jan.” I know this is a common first name if you’re a Polish man, but to me, it’s a term of endearment that I begrudgingly have come to love.

It’s only appropriate that I use it to introduce Jan’s Insert Month Here Faves where I will give you a monthly round up of my favourite things.

These are a few of my favourite things!

So here we are, we’re rounding up from Mother’s Day gifts I had received, constant favourites and items that spark joy or add value to my day. Affiliate links will be available for everything!

1. Bum Bum Cream by Sol de Janeiro - As I’m sure you have too, I discovered this stuff all over my For You Page on TikTok and wanted to know what all the fuss was about. The fuss is for sure the fact that it smells like you’re on the beach or about to be on a beach.

2. I highly recommend this Shea Butter Body Lotion if you’re looking for a similar product and price point. I bought it after a Disney vacation in 2019 and felt like I was back on holiday as I trudged through the Winnipeg snow.

3. Taking this magnesium supplement before bed has changed my life. Did you know that over a third of Canadians are getting enough magnesium in their diets? Magnesium plays a role in metabolizing energy and managing blood sugar. My experience has been taking one of these tablets each night before bed, and I’ve personally found that my sleep is deeper, and I’m falling asleep faster. 5. I gave my bathroom a bit of an upgrade this winter, and this Peachy Clean bath mat brings me joy every time I step onto it. It’s super soft, water-absorbent and doesn’t slip around! A fun little addition to brighten up any bathroom!
