It's Been A While

2023. How did the last three years fly by?

When this website launched in 2020, along with my rebrand and leap to take photography full time, here’s a little time capsule of what was happening:

• I had just gotten married - in September 2019, but it was still fresh.

• I had just returned from a Disney cruise with my new-in-laws and new husband. It was my first time in the Disney magic experience. I came back completely inspired by the world of Walt Disney and the idea that “it all started with a man and a mouse”.

• We were settling into our little starter home nicely. Everything was just right.

• We hadn’t heard much about the novel coronavirus yet, which seemed far-off.

• I worked freelancing full time and my husband, Chris, worked full-time at an accounting firm.

Fast-forward, here’s what’s up today:

• We have been married for three years, and in 2021 welcome our first child.

• Our greatest travels have been to Saskatoon, SK and Canmore, AB - not that I’m complaining. Those are becoming my favourite Canadian cities.

• I have taken a job as a Director of Communications, and my husband has opened a digital marketing firm called "Spoko Media.” Go follow him on Instagram!

• Photography has taken a backseat, but I’ve had time to dig deep into my favourite parts of photography and figure out what I liked most about photographing people and their stories.

I love this website. I invested a lot into it and am proud of the work that went into it. Having I ever thought about entering the blog space? Absolutely! Writing was one of my passions before photography. I see this space telling my clients' stories but also book reviews, monthly product reviews and whatever else my little heart desires.
